Driver Problem T41

Hi, need Help

I bought a second hand Notebook ThinkPad T41 2373-228 and installed Windows Professional with Service Pack 2 on it. I haven't a driver-CD so i tried to install following Components:

Audiocontroller
Ethernet-Contholler
Network-Controller
PCI-Modem
VideoController

I tried a lot, but i couldn't make it work. I couldn't install ONE of the Components above. I used the drivers from

Please download the drivers here. Make sure to choose the ones for Windows XP, 2000.

Are you getting any error messages when you try to install?

At the risk of posting something redundant...

When you download the drivers from Lenovo and launch the downloaded file, all it does is un-compact the file... it doesn't install the driver.

The drivers are un-compacted to either... C:\Drivers, C:\IBMTools... or C:\IBMTools\Drivers... depending on what they are. You will have to go to these folders and find the un-compacted driver folders. Each driver will have it's own folder and they may or may not be named for the driver name.

In the case of the Video driver, it should be located at... C:\IBM Tools\Drivers\Video. Inside the Video folder you should see the ATI Setup. Just double-click it and the install should commence.
