Rescue and Recovery disks usage

#1 Post by stuartf » Fri Feb 22, 2008 10:32 am

I have a set of these, but I am confused as to how to make the best use.

I have two disks labeled "rescue and recovery", one labeled recovery"
and six labeled "IBM Disk". These were made by the previous owner. Any advice as to how to know what is what and how to reinstall factory settings?

It sounds like the previous owner mislabeled some of the discs.
There should be a Rescue and recovery disk that is bootable and 6 more discs numbered 1 through 6 that have the restore data on them. Try to boot to one of the discs and tell it to restore to factory condition, then see if you can figure out which discs are 1 through 6 and mark them for future use.
