T42 - no line-in?

Hi all,

Struggling with my old T42 which I was planning to use for some recording and wanted to to find out if it has a line-in functionality or not.

I can only see a phone and mic jack. I had previously assumed the mic jack would double as a line-in when a stereo plug was inserted, but various tweaking of the settings haven't produced any joy.

Can someone confirm whether it actually has a line-in or not?

A line-in (blue) jack can be found on T4x docking solutions like Port Replicator II or Mini Dock II.

If you get one of these, you will also get an RS-232 port, keyboard and mouse PS/2 ports, DVI port, an additional USB port (or four in case of a Mini Dock II, since it has a built-in USB-Hub) and a special floppy drive port. None of these ports is available directly on ThinkPad although they are all supported by it, the replicator/dock is just a box with connectors.
