IBM a/b/g Mini PCI Adapter II -- Who makes the chipset?

It's impossible to find any information on the chipset in the II adapter available when customizing the T series. Does anyone know who makes it?

Someone mentioned once it was the Atheros 5004 series, but there's no literature to confirm it anywhere.

Can anyone help?

I have this same adapter. My device manager says it is Atheros Communications Inc. Device driver version 3.1.102.23, at c:\windows\system32\drivers\ar5211.sys. You'll get more details here:

All the Google hits I find with any sort of detail all show the 5001X chipset, e.g.

There may be others used... but I did not see any (in the T-family, that is).

The IBM 802.11a/b/g II is Atheros AR5004. It's listed in the latest TABOOK.
