Removing keys from the keyb??

#1 Post by Cecilia76 » Fri Dec 03, 2004 3:46 pm

Hallo,

I have a T24p (2373-HTG) with two keyboards. Is it possible to change some keys from one to another? Well, I like the German keyb because it is better but I need the ITA keyb. They are different only for 4-5 keys. Do you think is it possible to remove a key without break it??

Thanks, C.

Sorry but I was busy chasing frogs...

The keytops actually 'pop' off, but there is a kind of plastic 'spring' which is somewhat difficult to put into place when reassembling the keyboard. Several people have tried this here on this forum, with different degrees of success....

I think I would personally be more tempted to simply stick something over the 4 keys you need - the difficilty of reassembly would put me off.

If, on the other hand, you were able to buy a cheap keyboard on e-Bay, for example, you could practice on that....

Can't stop - just seen a really good looking frog...
