IBM T41 Intel Pro Wireless Adapter

#1 Post by marco1 » Fri Mar 07, 2008 1:54 pm

Wireless adapter suddenly disconnects espicially when downloading. System update has installed the right drivers and device manager shows no exclamation marks?

The prompt I get is that 'the connection with the server was reset'

Thx

In the Wireless Setting, Advanced configuration, is the power saving mode set to off and Power level set to 100%?

I used to get a lot of this when using "b" cards, and have no scientific explanation...especially that many a times I would be like 10 feet from the router...

Cure, however, is quite simple: replace the card with a b/g or an a/b/g one...my preference (and what I have in my daughter's T41) is Atheros, but to each his own.

I'm not having any of these issues anymore with cards that are more than just "b" designated...

Just my $0.02
