T42p - 2379-DYU - Boot sector help

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could give me a little bit of minor assistance? I have a T42p, model number 2379-DYU here, that I was not quite as meticulous as I should have been in backing up the hard drive as shipped, I saved the output of fdisk so that I could restore the partition boundaries and the IBM_SERVICE partition is still intact. However I did a Linux install without backing up the boot sector, and the grub rpm wiped out the boot sector and now I can't start the Access IBM utilities in IBM_SERVICE partition. On the T40/T41 with the HPA the boot sector wasn't even necessary to invoke the utilities in the service parition, but apparently the visible IBM_SERVICE partition changes all of that. Can someone on this list email me a boot sector that I could install that would restore my Access IBM utilities access, or otherwise tell me how to restore a boot sector to this disk that would allow me to run the utilities in the IBM_SERVICE parition? I have googled on this issue for several hours over the past couple of days and I'm coming up pretty empty on how to fix this problem because I would really like to make up a recovery CD set as Mofongo suggested on his web page. TIA for any assistance anyone can provide in helping me resolve this problem.

Have you tried restoring the MBR with fdisk /mbr?

I would totally help you in two seconds if I had a clean Windows XP MBR still.
