T42 AC Adapter noise

Hello.

The AC adapter that came with my T42 has been sending out high-pitched noises, so I sent it in for replacement. However, the new adapter I got sends out a similar noise (although a little less loudly).

Does anyone know how I find out whether the dealer sent me the newest Adapter model? Any sense in returning it again, or do all IBM AC adapters emit noise?
