Finally saw a 14" and 15" T42 side by side

#1 Post by rocketman » Tue Dec 07, 2004 10:41 pm

Tonight I had a chance to see a 14" and 15" T42 side by side at RCS Computer in Manhattan at the corner of 56th Street and Madison Ave.
I was surprised that the 15" didn't look that much bigger to me, the 15" model on display had the 1600x1200 resolution display which is definitely too small for me. It was nice finallt seeing them and playing with them, makes me glad I got the one I did.
I guess if you do a lot of traveling and use your laptop on planes the 14" is the way to go. Otherwise the 15" T42 is great.

Glad you are happy. No substitute for seeing them in real life!

Remember the default 1600x1200 display is VERY tiny, but, you can make it MUCH more readable by scaling the fonts to 120%. I did that, and it's VERY readable. Have it set that way on both my PCs running 1600x1200.
