9GB Used in Service Partition...Need Help Uninstalling Rapid

#1 Post by WINDOWPRO » Wed Dec 08, 2004 12:51 am

Just realized after performing a Rapid Restore my service partition is taking up 9gb of space! I really need to recover this disk space.

Could someone please provide a link or advice?

Thank you!

Is it actually taking up 9 gigs? A 40 gig HD only comes with about 37.5 gigs of actual space. Mine definitely isn't taking up 9 gigs.

It is showing 9GB allocated for the service partition. I too thought that was way too much??? If anyone could help it is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jim

Just delete the backups and deinstall rapid restore and install IBM rescue and recovery which uses hidden folders instead of blowing up the service partition:
