T42: I lose my network connection when I disconnect from AC

#1 Post by tirant » Mon Apr 07, 2008 7:03 pm

I own a new "2nd" hand T42 with Cisco 11b. Fresh XP Installation with all drivers updated.

Everytime I disconnect from AC or connect to it, I lose my wifi connection: It stops working until I click on REPAIR on Connection Properties.

What could it be?

Its the power settings in the wireless adapter properties, if it is set for default - it will follow your power profile. Uncheck the box and set it for maximum performance or change your power profile.
