T42 battery

Hello,

I recently purchased a lightly used T42 and I have been very disappointed with the battery life. Does anyone know where I can purchase an extended life battery for a good price?

The best price is not always the best battery. The best are new, fresh batteries with IBM/Lenovo labels. Li-ion batteries tend to wear out slowly over time, so buying one that is 3-years old, but used very little is not a good bargin. The aftermarket batteries (IBM compatible) are a crap shoot. The cells are fine, but the electronics are not as good. The real IBM batteries are better, but substantially more expensive.
