Swapping T60 Multiburner w/ T42 DVD/CDRW - and there you will read that "the best" DVD-burner for T41's is the most recently introduced (hence being the fastest available drive, capable of writing in the most formats) is the ”ThinkPad Super Multi-Burner Ultrabay Slim Drive with Curved Bezel” having IBM/Lenovo Part Number:
40Y8622 (or as FRU:
39T2729), with the burner itself actually being a M a t s u s h i t a UJ-842.
I am not aware of CD/DVD-RW's causing BSOD on any T4x's.
