It seems like computer problems are never ending.....
I have 2 hdd (1 loaded with Vista and 1 Loaded with XP)
Now that I have 2nd hdd caddy, I put XP as my first hdd and the latter as second.
The problem is: in boot.ini, what should I put so that I would get two option when booting windows?
or....
how do I edit boot settings in Vista so that it will display OS from another hard disk? EasyBCD seems not to provide solution for this problem...
Anyone have any idea?
Boot
Hi Buckalho,
you havnt mentioned which operating system you are using right now. Is it xp or vista. if its xp than you just do this
Open VistaBootPRO, ignore the prompt to backup your BCD. Go to the System Bootloader tab, select "Windows Vista Bootloader" in the first section and "All Drives" in the second section and then click Install Bootloader . Next, go to the Diagnostics item on the menu bar and select "Run Diagnostics". VistaBootPRO will default back to the Manage OS Entries page and you will see that you now have entries there for "Earlier versions of Windows" as well as "Microsoft Windows Vista".
to download vistabootpro use this link
http://www.area59.org/vistabootpro/dl/V ... _3.2.0.exe
if you want to know more about the soft go to http://www.vistabootpro.org/ . most probably you can download latest version from there as well.
