Anyone known if a 2gb stick of RAM will work in the T43?

it will but sorta not as you will onyl be able to use a maximum of 2GBs total so i think it'll still only be 1GB per slot.

Yes a 2gb memory chip will definitely work. I have tried this in several T43p with 100% success.

Of course the limitation of 2gb will still exist.

guess that eliminates the T43 should I be able to sell my EEE. Crap...cheap T60s are hard to find.

I had a 2GB + 512MB in both the slots. It showed a memory of 2560MB in the bios, but windows didnot pick up above 2gb even with the /3GB switch option.

Did not try linux or something else to see if it picked up what the Bios showed.

With certain combinations of 1gb & 2gb memory chips I have seen the BIOS report even 3gb. Of course Windows only recognizes 2gb.
