USB jack part number

#1 Post by AminAhmadi » Mon May 05, 2008 3:44 pm

Mine is broken and now that I have the thing open I'd like to change it.

Does anyone know the part number for the Tyco plug USB type A on the left side(the only one on the mainboard)

Thanks a lot

Don't have a T4x board with me, but maybe you can find it here:

http://www.newark.com/jsp/search/browse ... umber61072 :?:

Then again, you can always go to the source:

http://catalog.tycoelectronics.com/cata ... &BML=&LG=1

and try to narrow the results using the selections on the left pane.

The way the frame ties into the PS2 port, it looks to me like it is a custom piece. I think the only way to get one would be to remove one from an old board. If you want to try to unsolder one and reuse it, I'll send you a junk board that had other parts removed fot the shipping cost. If you are U.S., 1 pound priority mail costs about $5.

I tried Tyco's list and Digikey to no avail. will try Newark

Rick that is nice of you, let me see if I could save it and then I'll ask for the favour. I am in Canada. I might suck it up and plug the whole so noone would short it again and live with one USB.
