T40 - Fan Error - no 5+v on fan

Hello,
I have fan error on boot,

I opened the T40 , and I measure with a multimeter and don't have a power (+5v).

I take external source with 5v+ and made conection :
red - external source 5+v (red)
blue - external source 0 (black)
yellow(orange) - on motherbord on standart conection (I think this conection depends on fan speed and fan control).

After it I don't have error fan and notebook work, I think it's good, because i think it's one transistor dead.

Please who know in this situation? what to do, or some schematic or somethink ?

Schematics are not available i believe.

The yellow (orange) wire is to measure the fan speed (RPM).

You should to call IBM/Lenovo to replace your MB (if you are still in warranty) , or fit one in yourself (they are going on eBay).

But to bye new MB to much.

Because I am sure that it's one transistor , but what transistor ?:(

Do you have a multimeter? Maybe you can measure the transistors nearby the fan connector or something?

it seems like I have the same problem.
don't know how to fix it but if you find out please let me know!

Sveat - Aren't you forgetting that this transistor can be located on the bottom side of the board.
I mean, posting 5 pictures showing the top side of the board and none of the bottom side!
Try to take the board out of the chassis.
If there is anything abnormal about that transistor, then you might even be able to locate it your selves.

for everybody who has the same problem: check the fuse under the white safetysticker beneath the fan.
it's F4.

Thanks for the reply. But I am not quite sure what you mean. I have no idea how the fuse looks, and I dont understand the F4 part. Do you mean that it is under the F4 button?

I have removed the fan/heatsink on the picture below. Is the fuse visible there?
