wierd lcd issue

#1 Post by taz42zero » Sun May 18, 2008 2:25 pm

on my t41, the lcd has a bunch of funky lines lines flickering through it. when i plug in an external monitor and activate it, the lcd goes back to normal and the external monitor works fine too.

could this just be the lcd, or am i screwed, is it the on board graphics card? if it were just the lcd, why would it immediately turn back to normal though when i plugged in the external monitor? grrrr!!!

Do the flickering lines get worse when you pick up or move the computer?

I'm thinking it might be a loose LCD cable since the problem disappears when an external monitor is connected.

movement doesn't effect it. although, movement on screen, such as my music tracks on audacity tend to make it worse....

Have you tried reinstalling the video drivers without any overclocking, etc.? What are the GPU temperatures?
