Lost hard disk password & replacing the drive

#1 Post by paveq » Mon May 19, 2008 2:09 pm

The password is lost, yes, I admit, should have been more carefull. I'm ready to buy new drive, just want to know if it is safe to insert new one. Or does the bios set new password instantly to the new drive too? The thinkpad is T43 model.

You should be fine provided that you get a T43-compatible HDD.
