T42, atheros connected to wifi but no connection to Internet

I have a Atheros AR5006XS (AR5414A) in my T42 and yesterday I was in a Korea airport and connected to the airport WiFi. It told me that I have a good connection but then I wasn't able to connect to Internet Explorer as I do normaly. It gave me an error stating that there was no Internet connection found. After one hour of trying, I gave up. Is there something I could have done?

One possibilty is that a firewall was enabled and blocking access. That has happened to me on occasion. ... JDH

I use Mcafee and it ask me to trust or not and I clicked yes, to trust.
