T43 RUNNING PROBLEM

#1 Post by jagine » Wed May 28, 2008 12:35 pm

 I GOT AN OLD T43. I didn't want to sell it coz it is the last laptop made by IBM.
Now I got some problems. The laptop is running random pauses or stalls. Sometimes, it even froze during BIOS check.

I supposed it should be CPU FAN or motherboard or hard disk

Anybody got ideas?

I would run a memory test and a PC Doctor diagnostic.

Don't want to speculate though. Discrete graphics?

I agree with Brad. See the thread T42P blue screening (the post of Sun Feb 03, 2008 9:05 pm) - there you will find links to a couple of tools which can be used for testing.

Keep us posted of the progress - and the final solution!

How about reinstall the system?
If it is fan error, i think you can see the error in bios.
