ATI x300 Driver Update, No More 1440 x 1040

Hello:
I have a T43 whose graphics driver (ATI X300) I recently updated (3D applications were getting me the BSOD). Unfortunately, now I am unable to set the screen resolution to 1440 X 1040-- the only available screen resolutions are widescreen ones (e.g. 1440 x 900). I'm hoping that one of the gurus on this board can help me convince my computer that it is not a widescreen.

what is your driver version number and where did you get the driver package? lenovo or elsewhere?

i'm running this one:

which is most current on the lenovo driver matrix. i'm running 1400x1050 (native resolution) without problem. i have no widescreen options showing.
