I recently switched from a T42 to a T43, I'm using a port replicator to attach it to an external ViewSonic 17" monitor and use dual-screen to make one giant screen.
However, the ViewSonic is very very dim (it worked fine with the T42). I have installed the ViewSonic drivers, but it didn't help.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
TIA
t43 external monitor is dim
(assuming a analog video connection)
If you disconnect from the port replicator and plug the monitor into the T43's analog port, does the monitor brightness return to normal?
If so, reseat the thinkpad in the replicator or try some contact cleaner on both mateing connection surfaces.
