3,2,1 Take Off...

#1 Post by SimonCC » Sun Dec 19, 2004 6:51 pm

When i play a cd on my t42, it vibrates like hell and makes a constant wooshing noise. My prior laptop was a sony so i dont have much to compare with as that was much quieter - so is this normal?? This sittuation is simmilar when playing a dvd but less noisy.

Cheers, :)

You can adjust the performance level of the drive in either the control panel or the BIOS.
In the control panel its under the power settings afvanced tab
there is normal(default) high performance or silent.
Obviously on silent the performance level of installing programs will also slow down.
