battery question

#1 Post by ranchmom5 » Sun Jul 06, 2008 6:15 pm

I am having battery issues and don't know what to do about them.

Here are the stats on my battery:
Full charge capacity: 46.83
Design capacity: 47.51
cycle count:28
First used: 2006-03

I charge it to 100%, run on battery, it will show anywhere from 50-60% battery remaining and then all of a sudden go into hibernation. When I log back on, it shows something like 4% battery. I have now started plugging into AC when it gets to the 60% range but sometimes I get involved in what I am doing and forget. The "critical battery" notice doesn't come up until after I reboot.

Does anyone know why this would be happening and what I might to do fix it. Also, I know there was a thread somewhere on TP Forums that gave a step-by-step on how to use NHC. I searched for quite some time today and couldn't find anything. I have NHC loaded but simply have it set to "max. battery".

Thanks
