T41 very dim screen on startup

Hi Guys been awhile since I've posted I recently bought a mb
for my broken T41 (fried the mb attempting to fix the Video chipset) the ad said powers on but screen is dim
but for $30 I decided to take a chance.
Well I installed the new mb and ya the screen is very dim as described
I have to use a flashlight just to see it. Now if my old LCD was working fine before I fried the old mb it can't be the inverter can it?
what else should I look for? I haven't tried to use an external monitor yet I need to go buy a laptop monitor adapter thx

There are 4 things that can cause your problem:

1) Inverter
2) bulb
3) motherboard (even if external is good)
4) stuck switch on video cable or keyboard bezel

The first 2 are unlikely if they worked before the reflow, but you could have done something to the MB that cooked the inverter.
