strange performance behaviour with T42

#1 Post by nikemen » Tue Dec 21, 2004 5:46 pm

Hey, I have a strange performance issue with a T42.

when on one PROFILE, girlfriend actually, browsing websites, the speed of clicking, page loads, refresh is snappyer than when on my profile, which is a bit slower/

Using the same mozilla browser, and both have IE installed, OE installed as mail system and about the same load.

I might have a couple 100 more MB on the desktop, could that be a factor? Is there a setting for speed enhancements?

could the battery / performance profiles be differant for both, even though at the moment I have them both set to highest performance?

Ooh, big dekstops are a no no, but not for performance reasons. But, running a 50MB PNG as your desktop background can kill your system responsiveness.

no, not background, just items that are technically in the user profile, desktop area, ost file, my documents, etc, all fall into a "profile"

background image is simple bliss
