HD check utility?

#1 Post by araina » Thu Dec 23, 2004 1:04 am

Hi

My thinkpad is making some weird whirring/clicking sounds.

Is there a utility i could run to check the state of this machine's HD?

Thanks!

it's not as good as that but you could try chkdsk in the command prompt with the ? switch

C:\>chkdsk /?

is what you would type to get a list of commands to try.

I have the iso that you can burn to a cd if you can't get a floppy

i hope you know how to burn a iso image... :)

I do. :) Thanks.

I don't have a floppy drive on this machine. The burner is an external burner but at least that's something. It's an old T20-2647.

Thank you!
