3Com Mini PC help: "cable disconnected"

Hi

Thanks to a couple of very nice people here, i finally got the 3com combo card off ebay.

I had some problems installing the driver but it worked.

There are two problems:

1. Even when a cat5 is plugged in, it says "Cable not connected".
2. Intel VLAN Virtual Adapter is shown with a yellow exclamation mark in device manager.

Does #2 have anything to do with #1?

i am a dumbass is all i can say.

I hadn't connected one of the cables on the mini PCI card, works great now!

lol..sometimes we answer our questions ourselves...which is why i end up taking so many showers.....
