T43 traveling dead/stuck pixels

#1 Post by ex0dus » Wed Aug 06, 2008 4:31 am

I have a T43 (2668) and I have an issue with a traveling/stuck pixel. It's white or black at times. It will move to totally different spots on the screen at different times. No rhyme or reason to this.

LCD has been replaced via onsite warranty and still the issue persists. Leaving for Europe next week and would like this resolved... anyone have any suggestions? Is the GPU dying?

Does the dead/lit pixel disappear if you press the middle ultranav button? :)

hmm.. I'll have to look into this. Has this been a known issue? If so what is the fix?

It's a strange Ultranav software issue. Pressing the center button is the fix.

Maybe, maybe not - please review these threads: Dead pixel? and The Incredible Disappearing Dead Pixel and Dead pixel??? - the key words here being: "Pixel" and "UltraNav" (search for this combination, and add "dead" or "stuck" or "bug" etc.). Very interesting problem!

Strangely enough I totally forgot about the Ultranav pixel, I no longer get it. Maybe because of newer UN drivers
