Using DVD/CD drive on an angle?

#1 Post by kai920 » Sat Aug 09, 2008 6:00 am

My T43 sits pretty much all day on a 45-degree angle (notebook riser). I just burned a DVD and CDs read fine, but is there any risk of long-term damage reading/writing discs at this angle? I just got a replacement drive GSA-4083N so would like this one to last as long as possible.

No. Potential damage only occurs when you abruptly change the angle while it's spinning.
