dvd burner question

hey,

i have a 2373 kxu and i know i have a dvd burner on it, but i haven't been able to burn any dvds for data purposes. the drive itself is a matshita dvd-ram uj-812. can anyone help me out here? i'm trying to burn all the necessary data so i can do a clean install on the laptop. thanks.

Maybe you're using the wrong kind of disc. This burner will only burn DVD-R/DVD-RW and DVD-RAM, but NOT DVD+R/DVD+RW. It will however burn CD's of any kind. Hope this helps. BTW, what software are you using the burn the discs?

Ajminn, we´ll help you but you need to tell us what media you´re using, what burning software and what error code or signal you are getting that tells you it is not working.
