t42 bluetooth setup question

#1 Post by Binglehopper » Tue Dec 28, 2004 12:16 pm

hello everyone, hope you all had a good holiday.

quick question, i just got a palm zire72 and i was trying to setup bluetooth hotsyncing and the palm said that i needed to setup a "virtual serial port"

I'm relatively new to bluetooth, and don't know how to do this. has anyone had any experience with this before? i have a t42, w/ the "IBM Integrated Bluetooth III"

thanks in advance!!

Assuming you are using windows XP service pack 2, go to Control Panel -> Bluetooth Devices. After you added your new (palm) device it should create virtual COM ports as appropriate. If not you can manually create on in the COM Ports tab.
