HELP! Can't VGA output to 1920x1200

#1 Post by Dota » Wed Sep 03, 2008 6:32 am

Hi guys, I recently purchased a 24" monitor which has a native res of 1920x1200. My T42 running a Radeon Mobility 9600 has comfortably outputted to my tv at 1920x1080, but for some reason won't show me the display mode of 1920x1200 to select. I've tried powerstrip, etc., some new drivers, but it still won't work!

This is really frustrating!

Let me know if anybody has any good ideas on how to get this running. I imagine somebody out there uses their laptop to vga out at 1920x1200!

Thanks,

Paul

My T42 also has the Ati Mobility Radeon 9600 and it drives my 1920x1200 Dell 2407WFP-HC just fine. It's using ATI's driver version 6.14.10.6525, dated 3/22/2005.

Trying restarting the machine and see if more resolution options become available.

Hey, I do believe I've installed the latest drivers. Does anyone mind linking me to them precisely so I know I got it right? Or at least giving me a version/filename?

Thanks guys,

I appreciate the help

I use mine (same specs) on a Dell 2405 all the time. Try loading the monitor driver.
