T42 - Where to buy screen hinge?

I am looking for the left screen hinge, the one near the ESC key. My current one cracked in half and the PC is out of warranty.

Does anyone know where I can buy this or happen to have this part laying around?

You may try either the Marketplace and post a "WTB" there (Want To Buy), or check eBay - there are quit a few T42 hinges, such as e.g. here. The FRU (Field Replacable Number) for the hinges can be found through 14.1inch LCD service parts - ThinkPad T40/p, T41/p, T42/p or 15.0inch LCD service parts - ThinkPad T40/p, T41/p, T42/p, respectively.

if you don't know how to take apart your T42 (and assemble it again!), I suggest you grab the Hardware Maintenance Manual - ThinkPad T40, T40p, T41, T41p, T42, T42p.
