Vista on T43p - disconnect sound when closing the lid

Hello,

so I have this issue - I'm using vista on my T43p, and I have set it up to not to go to sleep when closing the lid, but everytime I close the lid, I hear that sound like something disconnects from the laptop when removing ultrabay or USB device and then I hear the plug-in sound when I open the lid. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? I have no issues with it, AFAIK the laptop is working as expected even with the lid closed, but I don't want to disconnect anything while the lid is closed.

I don't use Vista, but I would guess that the "monitor" is being disconnected.
