Rescue % Recovery on T42

A few weeks back, I installed the new version of Rescue & Recovery. Never used it though. Tonight, out of curiosity, tried to run it from the "Access IBM" Program Group. But I double click it and nothing happens. Rebooted, but still the same. Any ideas?

BIOS and embedded controller program must be current for that function to work. Otherwise, its F11 prior to the OS loading....meaning you hit it when the BIOS/IBM logo screen comes up.

I have the latest BIOS and embedded controller program, and the latest R&R. F11 works fine, I just cant start it my clicking on the R&R Icon from the Access IBM Group in Windows. When I click on it, nothing happens.

Any other ideas?

figured it out! in my zeal to stop unnecessary services, I had made IBM Rapid restore Ultra Service "Manual"...needs to be Automatic!
