Double cursor

I run a 16-bit WP in a VDM (DosBox or DOS window) on a T41. Often I get a double cursor, the second usually in the form of a blinking underscore that appears during clip-and-paste operations. IT IS NOT THE APPLICATION. I and others have triple-checked my app setup and this anomaly does not appear on XP desktops among other users of the app. Has anyone experienced a double cursor in any app on a recent T-Series? Thanks.
