This is a recent change. I've seen it on regular monitors, but not on a lap top. And it wasn't like this a few weeks ago. I first noticed it after installing the Chrome browser and thought it was part of the "look", but I see it on every window/program I open.

Is there a way to adjust this? Could it be a sign that the screen is about to fail. This T42 is 4 years old and has been working great.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Must be a virus. No way this can happen on an LCD as a hardware issue.

Have you tried uninstalling Chrome, or booting in safe mode?
