Mini Dock screen resolution problem

Hi,

I have bought a Mini Dock for my T41p, but I have problems with the screen resolution with the external display. My TP panel has 1400x1050 and my external Display 1280x1024.
First I thought that I have 2 hardware profiles from the system (WinXP) but then I saw that there is always only one profile - the undocked one, regardless if docked or undocked. Anywhere on google I found that with the Mini Dock there is no additional profile, so it seems that windows don't recognise if the TP is docked or not.
OK, the second way is the option in the presentation director, where I can choose a schema to autoswitch to, when the TP is docked, but this also doesn't work for me.
So when I put my TP in the mini dock, the screen is too big for the 1280 external monitor, so I have to scroll with my mouse from one side to the other, to scroll the whole 1400 desktop. Playing aroung with the ATI settings where also not working, when I switch to external display, it doesn't switch automatic to the lower resolution.

So my question is, is there a way to auto switch the resolution on the display, I don't want to press everytime FN -F7 if I dock or undock my TP.
And how can I set different resolutions for internal and external display?
