T42 expanded screen

T42 2378-R4U 32mb ATI Radeon 7500 XP pro
I hooked up my laptop to my TV and I have to drag everything over to right until it shows on my TV.
How do I get my computer screen to show up on my TV directly like my R50 does?
and...
When I click on search and search internet the search results screen opens "behind" my search screen instead of in the search screen like my desk top does... How do I get my search results to open in the search box screen?

Welcome to the forum.

After your TV is connected to the computer via a dock and external KB and mouse connected, close the lid and let the computer go to sleep. Then press the power button with the lid closed to wake up the computer. The primary display should now be the TV. Right click any where on the screen and change the resolution to the TV resolution in Advanced tab.

This is easier if your TV is DVI or HDMI as the computer will pick up the TV resolution.

I don't have a dock. The T42 is connected to TV through s-video rca cable.. on my R50 using same cable what ever is on my laptop is on TV. When using cable on T42 the same desktop screen shows on TV but the desk top ICONS are missing. I've clicked on screen and gone to properties etc same as on R50. Great picture but I have to drag everything over to TV screen.
