Ultra bay battery

Hi all, I have the T40 ThinkPad, and I'm looking to improve the battery life. As of now, I have the 6 cell battery, and I'm only getting 2.5 hours out of it. I tried getting the Ultra bay battery from the Lenovo site, but apparently they discontinued the line for the T40s.

My question is, does anyone know of a reliable online source to get the Ultra bay battery for the T40, as well as the regular 6 cell battery?
And how much more battery life can I expect from purchasing The ultra bay.

The question "where to buy replacement batteries" have been debated quite a bit (search and ye shall find!), but personally I would buy an UltraBay battery from Jim (TTA) - see the thread FS: Near new Ultrabay Slim battery T40, R50 X40 08k8191. For a regular 6-cell or 9-cell battery, I would buy an original, brand-new one from Brad - see the thread FS: High-end T42 15" SXGA+ FlexView LCD, warranty, worl (see the first post, the section "Options available"). Alternatively, see the thread Where should I buy a replacement battery for a T41?.

To extend your battery time, e.g. see the thread T43 operating temperature (see the post of Wed Mar 05, 2008 4:06 pm).

about the ultrabay battery
i've found a Ultrabay (dunno if its slim or not) - FRU 02K6817 - from the IBM site i'm not sure if if works in the T41 Ultrabay slim...
any ideas?

It's an Ultrabay 2000 battery. It won't fit a T41.
