T22 and port replicator II - AC power

#1 Post by Myotis » Wed Jan 12, 2005 2:38 pm

I have just received a re-furbished T22 and plugged it into my Port Replicator II, which is listed as being compatible.

However, the T22 is running on battery rather than the AC power.

Is there something I need to set up to get this working.

Many thanks

Is the power brick plugged into the laptop and to the AC? If the brick is sourced through a power-bar, is the power-bar ON?

Thanks, Yes, and the T42 that I removed before attaching the T22, was working fine.

I have now taken the T22 off and re-attached it a couple of times. At first this made no difference, but currently its working so maybe it was some sort of dirty connection, or faulty connection - hopefully the former. Certainly at the moment this seems to have been where the problem was.

Thanks again.

Excellent! The power plug into my T21 is not the best snug fit that I would prefer either. Maybe there is a way to increase the friction fit. Meanwhile, maybe secure the power plug cable that goes into the replicator in such a way so that there is no "pull" or strain on the plug. I would simply tape part of the cable to your tabletop leaving a bit of a slack to the rest of the cable that goes to the replicator.

Its not actually the power plug but the laptop to replicator fitting, but having had a look at it now there seems no loose bits so I think it was dirt.

Thanks for the support.
