T43 - Can you add a 2GB stick in one slot only?

I was reading one of the tawbook sheets on a T43 and it stated that you can add a 512mg, 1GB or 2GB stick for memory in a T43.

I know that the max ram is 2GB in a T43 but is it possible because it uses PC5300 ram??

Ron, it is possible, or at least I hope it is because I will be trying that exact thing in a couple of days in an R52. T43's use PC2-4200 RAM, but can run PC2-5300 at a slower speed.

Absolutely not a problem. At least in every T43 I have tried adding 1 X 2GB.

Sorry to spoil the party, but it doesn't always work...not in my experience anyway...
