Welcome to the forum.

See the compatibility statement at this page on Amazon

What is the machine type/model of your T40? 14" SXGA+ screen?

I have no idea what that auction is about other than the pictures look nice :). Make sure that you get a new SXGA+ cable if you go the bare LCD replacement route. The inverter is listed as the same for all models

Unless it is showing an IBM FRU for a T4x, the answer is no. T4x has different pin connections and will not work, possibly damaging your motherboard.

Yes, do not buy it. If you find another LTN141P4-L02 LCD with that label on it, and also an IBM FRU number on it, then it is OK to buy it. In other words, buy a genuine IBM part.

That panel is commonly used in Dell D600. As I said before, if it isn't marked for IBM, it won't work. I have one I'm pulling out of a T41p with a bad motherboard. It just came in this morning. I was told the screen was good, but I need to test it. PM me if you want to discuss,
