T40 Compatible cd/dvd drives for model 2373??

The dvd/cd rom drive on my t40 recently quit working, it wont read any disks whatsoever, i want to replace it but dont know whats compatible with my laptop, so here are some specs:

ibm thinkpad t40
built-in wi-fi
intel pentium M
windows xp
type: 2373-75u
fru p/n: 91p8927

If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated, preferably something that i can install myself with not much difficulty...

Do you want another CDRW/DVD combo drive, or a DVDRW Multiburner?

It doesnt really matter, preferably something that i can burn cds with but burning dvds is not a necessity, but i really just need to know whats compatible along those lines

Any ultrabay slim combo drive with a curved bezel would work.

I noticed in that link you posted it says

Issues

* May have problems reading DVD+R/RW. (Drive does not report DVD+R/RW read capability.)

I currently have the Matshita (Panasonic) UJDA745 and that is the exact issues I am having... I bought my IMB a couple months back used and the drive/burner/reader has never worked?? Is it possible there is some troubleshooting I could do to get it working??

Are you sure that thisis not a software problem?
I have T40 2376-4Ui with Matshita UJDA 755 DVD/CDRW
which worked perfectly until a couple of weeks ago. Then after using some CD/DVD editing software, it no longer reads DVDs. But same problem with external DVD drive, so definitely software problem
