Bluetooth Problem

Hello all. I've reinstalled my OS from the R&R disks of a near identical Thinkpad. Everything is good with the exception of bluetooth, which my bluetooth utility insists is not connected to the computer.

I checked to make sure that bluetooth was enabled in the BIOS and downloaded the drivers without avail. Then, I uninstalled the bluetooth from control panel->system->devices. The system didn't find bluetooth device upon rescaning/restarting, so now it's as if it doesn't exist.

I'm lost, can anyone shed light on how I may return this to a functional state?

I'd open the machine up and check whether the card is connected properly.

After a complete reinstall of the OS, you usually need to hit Fn + F5 to enable the device again, at which point it should install the drivers for you. If you are running XP, it doesn't need additional drivers, as they are built in. Try this and see

It was working before I had reinstalled. I followed norriscell's reccomendation and the bluetooth device activated/installed and was ready for use in a matter of seconds. Thank you.
