T40 BSOD related to Radeon 9000 driver? or other?

Hello,

T40 2374-MU7 on Window XP

I have been fighting a BSOD for the past month, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I have done a full h/w diagnostic with no issues. The event viewer is also not showing anything major. The only thing I can trace back to changes on my display driver for ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 32MB.

I updated to the latest driver off the Lenovo site: 8.133.2.1.1.1

I am interested in rolling back to the old driver, but can no longer find my old driver: 6.14.10.6483. I cannot use the roll back option as I followed the Lenovo instruction to do a full uninstall and reinstall of the drivers.

Can anyone point me to the older driver or tips on this BSOD? Thanks,

I believe the ATI drivers produces a single driver for use across the range.

I've found a couple of sites which do the 9000 range:

Wareseeker.com

Soft32.com

Do an antivirus check before using them - I don't know either site or how reliable they are etc.

I am aware that these are not the actual Lenovo version but I would think should work.

Hi, my T42 (w/9600) BSODs if I have powerplay active whenever I place the system on batteries... with the same driver. Could your fault be related to powerplay also ?
