Paul:

What size is your T43; 14.1" or 15"? Keyboards for 14.1" have four posts while 15" keyboards only have three posts (and therefore 14.1" and 15" keyboards are not interchangeable!). You will find your options in the Keyboard service parts - ThinkPad T40/p, T41/p, T42/p or Keyboard service parts - ThinkPad T43/p (all T4x keyboards will work in T43's, if the keyboard has the correct dimension, as just mentioned). Many people prefer keyboards of the "NMB" brand (and especially those "Made In Thailand" are highly worshipped, although not out-of-production, and therefore hard to find).

As to where a keyboard; well either eBay or the Marketplace on this forum. You may also order them directly from IBM Maintenance Parts.

Do you happen to know how to identify the proper NMB keyboards and how the other manufacturer units are identified (FRUs, &c.)?
