I have a problem with an otherwise very good T43 with Windows XP Pro. I have suddenly lost the ethernet network. The device is there in Device Manager and is reported as working. However, I do not get an entry for it in "Network Connections", and so cannot check its properties.
I have tried a Linux live-CD and then the interface works properly and I can access the network. So it seems it is not a hardware problem but rather a Windows problem. Could it be a problem with resource sharing?
I have had another problem with the machine - the trusted platform module - and I was trying many things before getting it to work by disabling the "atmel legacy device" (or something like it). But in this process I remember I manually set one device to use IRQ 11, only I cannot remember which one anymore. I would like to set it to automatic again.
Is there anyone with ideas?
Thanks!
